Camping trip leader to Sagana
Have you even been involved in a camping trip lately.Camping is, not only affordable in the eyes of many due to low over head cost but, the freedom the activity gives to individuals!.Are you open minded to meeting preplanned adventure trip ahead of you?that is what am talking about!but to make it more exciting unlike hotel life ,camping trips will give variety. You can easily choose a location of you choice unlike other modes of accommodation. Now let talk of the team leader.Going for adventure camping trip requires the initiator or the trip leader. He or she puts together the trip by putting together team mates and comparing notes before and after the trip. The Camping trip leader will come up with the list of requirements ,food etc reminding the team not forget personal effects.Team leader ensures discipline is maintained through out the trip.Cost is shared among the comrades in camping adventure trips especially in Kenya. When guys leave for Sagana Rapids Camp through the Thika super highway is amazing trip.Enjoy your trip being a team trip leader which is a privileged. What trip leader should check out especially when leading a trip? Before departure they should have what i call a trip debrief and he or she should assign responsibility to the teams . Who to buy what, and where and when to, should be the formula to keep guys together and save travel time. All the dont’s should be spell out in hand to avoid trip arguments or politics. Costs should communicated to the teams in advance and remember its always important to let folks know that its safe to carry extra money for any eventualities. The last and not the list is from my own experience remember to have the next of kin numbers for any emergency that may arise during you trip. But this should be communicate well that all manner safety will be observed. At the Rapids Camp Sagana we have what is called check in form, which will guide you to understand" who is who " that is coming to camp in Sagana.
Corporate Team Building in Sagana, Kenya
Kenya's no one team building programs are only one hour away from Nairobi.Be it Camping ,team building or rafting at Sagana Rapids lies a unique camp for corporate adrenaline junky activities in Kenya. The most important thing in any organization is its employees and how motivated they are to keep increasing their productivity for the growth of the organization. With this in mind, we have provided ample space for companies to venture out in natural surroundings to motivate and empower their staff for increased creativity and contribution to and for the organization. Most team building activities in Kenya, meant to address communication, planning, trust and strategic thinking are best carried out in the kind of serene surroundings that you can only find at Rapids Camp. The Camp facilities are ideal for groups that are as small as 2 people and as large as over 300 people. Depending on the needs and requirements of the organization the team building can be structured in either of the following ways:
What to note of team building in Kenya
Leadership ,team spirit, synergies, team building, team work, team dynamics, are all great names for team building in Kenya.Different companies also have diffrent approches to team building. We have in door training and have out doors or experiential team buildings. We also do have seminars and workshops trainings. The tricky part is the organization to know what they want.Is it team building ,or semilar or workshops.
Though team building has different names in Kenya, there is no such thing like" drinking beer all night team building".Team building is about working together ,outside the comfort zone and achieve resuilts. Rapids Camp offers a very suitable location for team building.
Point 1 Location
Team building cannot be effective if carried out at the work place,as some people have suggested before. It requires a different enviroment and if possible very unique ground ,away from the normal.
Thats why Rapids Camp Sagana is a leading location for team building in Kenya. Change of location should be reflected on the faces of the team building folks. The location is a catalyst by its self.
What you should never do?.
Never conduct a corporate team building in a primary or high school ground. The impact is almost nil to the team due to the perception that this is a school not suitable for corporate team building. Please be very careful to get a nice location.Team building companies that offer team building with out a proper location will not achieve much.
Actually team building is a location by itself. The location will set the theme before any Ice breakers, then team building follows.
Point 2 Activities.
When doing team buiilding in Kenya ask yourself the question or ask what activities?.If there are no out door activities or are only 2 to 3 activities then you should now have known the impact of such team buildings are almost nil. you require to plan again.
Point 3 Acessability.
Acessability is key to planning a team building event in Kenya.Rapids Camp is just only two hrs from Nairobi and very close to other major towns in Kenya ,like Nakuru,Meru ,Embu, Thika, Nanyuki,Machakos ! If you will use half of the time on road to reach your team building destination then that is a well not thought out program.
Point 4 Budget.
Very expensive team buildings in Kenya, or very cheap one sometime do not achieve much. They may a have some impact on the team ,but that doesnt mean that the whole purpose of holding a team building training will be successful. Cost effective team buildings are measured by the the number of activities and the costs in total to achieve the objectives. Be careful and look at list of activities that may be involved.Activities like rafting in Sagana,Canoeing, plunge ,diving, stress free programs, camping ,river swims,Hippo route, bungee are all very unique and give the team an extra mile compared to usual ground workor drygrounds team buildings in Kenya.
We also organize other team building programs

- Community games Kenya
Global community games consists of Kids games in Sagana. We have kids games ,especially to children under 12 yrs. This could be fun games ,biking the Sagana terrein or even safe river adventures. All our activities have a trained guide and utmost care is taken. We also have arange of community activities for churches and other religions too oin Kwnya.

Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park is located in Loitoktok District, Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The park is 39,206 hectares (392 km2; 151 sq. mi) in size at the core of an 8,000 square kilometres (3,100 sq. mi) ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. Other attraction of the park includes opportunities to meet the Maasai people and also offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. In Amboseli’s case it is big skies and far horizons combined with swampy springs and dry and dusty earth trampled by hundreds of animals. Amboseli has an endless underground water supply filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro’s ice cap, which funnel into two clear water springs in the heart of the park. However, the climatic pendulum can swing from drought to flood, and in the early 1990’s ceaseless rain changed Amboseli into a swamp. A few years later the rains failed and the grass-covered plains turned to dust.

Masai mara wildebeest migration

Masai mara wildebeest migration
By the month of June a gentle wind ripples through the tall red oat grass, and the only animals easily visible are the slow moving elephants and giraffes, or a lone topi standing on an abandoned termite mound. A stillness sits across the savannah and the lions of the Mara lie in the shade of the acacias, waiting in anticipation. One late morning, small specks rise up through the bushes by Sand River and within minutes become clouds of dust. A herd of a few hundred wildebeest swarms its way along and then down the dusty river bank. Some of the herd settles for a few sips of water before the throng returns and takes the thirsty back to the top of the river bank. The migration has arrived. Within a couple of days many herds of thousands of wildebeest are trampling their way through the long grass, snaking their way across to Look-Out Hill and then down to the Mara River.
Many visitors only want to see the river crossings but the true spectacle of the migration is 1,245,000 wildebeest, 200,000 Burchell’s zebra, 18,000 eland and 500,000 Thomson’s Gazelle filling the entire stretch of landscape. The shifting columns of the herds as they traverse the valleys and the hills can only be watched in awe. There is nothing else like this on earth. The migration is a phenomenon that started again in the early 1970s; after a widespread immunization campaign against rinderpest in cattle was there an unexpected disappearance of rinderpest among the buffalo and wildebeest. The wildebeest had, following periodic outbreaks, being kept to around 250,000 animals but following this campaign and an increase in dry season rainfall, the population was able to grow in number and the migration spill over into the Mara. While the migratory population of Serengeti wildebeest has increased, the resident Mara wildebeest have been in steady decline. The Mara population used to migrate from the Loita Plains to the Maasai Mara around the same time as the Serengeti population, but in recent years the herds are staying in the conservancies just outside the reserve as human activities such as agriculture have limited their migratory routes.

Luxurius Finch Hattons in Tsavo West re-opens after refurbishment
The award-winning luxury eco safari camp Finch Hattons is set to reopen after an extensive refurbishment.
The camp, 300km from Nairobi, Kenya, first opened in 1992. Set in the Tsavo West National Park, near an oasis of natural spring pools, the eco camp is located close to local wildlife and features stunning views of both Mount Kilimanjaro and the Chyulu Hills. There are over 500 species of birds that call the area home, plus characteristic African wildlife such as giraffes, elephants and leopards. Known for its exquisite cuisine and long history, the camp allows guests to indulge in the surroundings of the African bush from the comfort of their own luxury tent.
The refurbishment includes new tented suites, a pool, spa, conference facilities, a star-gazing terrace and a yoga deck with views over the Chyulu Hills.
‘We are very excited to be opened to guests in February 2015,’ says Director Leena Gehlot. ‘It is a multi-million dollar investment, confirming our faith and confidence in the Kenyan tourism industry and Africa as a number one tourism destination. Heart, soul and a great team have come together to produce a hospitality product that cannot be described by words. We have ensured that the history of Finch Hattons has been retained in the refurbishment so that both our repeat and new guests from all over the world will still feel the magic of the camp as they did before. A lot of planning has gone into the sustainability and architecture of the new Finch Hattons, credited to the renowned South African lodge architect, Mr. Francois Theron.’
Mr. Theron says: ‘Experiencing Africa in colonial campaign fashion has by no means been this luxurious. The thrill of Africa is experienced from 17 intimate tented luxury suites; which are positioned around a water hole fed by a natural spring from Mount Kilimanjaro, perfect for guests and ideal for wildlife. The open plan design of the tents invites the cooling breeze closer over the water, transporting all the authentic African sounds, tastes and smells right onto your doorstep. Each unit features a private outdoor shower with magnificent views through the unit towards your own glimpse of the water hole. A personal deck allows you to get lost in Africa while spoiling yourself with elite conveniences, such as opulent furniture and all the creature comforts you would expect from the best tented camp in the world.’
The camp was founded by German hotelier Peter Frank with Kishan Gehlot, drawing inspiration from the legendary British aristocrat Denys Finch Hatton – best known as Baroness Karen Blixen’s lover. A game hunter, Finch Hatton turned safari guide to the aristocracy.
Finch Hattons has won numerous awards, including being named Africa’s Leading Safari Lodge in 2014 at the World Travel Awards. Rates for the Finch Hattons tented suites start at $590 (about £400) per person per night.

Five-star Radisson Blu prepares for Nairobi debut
International hotel chain Radisson Blu has started hiring staff for its upcoming Kenyan unit in Nairobi’s Upper Hill in readiness for opening early next year.
The chain first announced plans to enter the Kenyan market in 2012 and had earlier set a target of starting operations in August this year.
“Carlson Rezidor will open its first hotel in Nairobi early 2015,” said the hotel management in a statement.
The Nairobi hotel, which has 271 rooms, is seeking staff for its human resource department, chief stewards, a purchasing manager, store supervisor, bar managers and pastry chef.
Radisson Blu Nairobi will feature a health club and a 600-square-metre ballroom for conferences. The hotel will also have an all-day restaurant and grill.
The presence of Radisson in Nairobi raises Kenya’s profile as a top investment destination and also increases hotel rooms available for leisure and business tourists.
Radisson will also launch Park Inn Nairobi , a business and leisure facility in late 2015, in addition to Park Inn Rwanda and Cape Town that were set to open this year.
Other hotels looking to open in Kenya over the next two years include easyHotels by Lonrho and Hilton Garden Inn, a budget accommodation by Hilton International.
Lonrho Group, which had established itself in Kenya’s hospitality industry with several iconic hotels, made a comeback in the market last year after a long absence.
Marriot, a five-star international hotel brand, intends to start operations in the country by 2015.
Marriot has said it plans to spend Sh127 billion ($1.5 billion) for investments in Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Benin, Gabon, Nigeria and Rwanda.
Centara Hotels & Resorts by the billionaire Chirathivat family from Thailand also makes the list of investors eyeing a piece of Kenya’s hospitality industry at the Coast.
